Paying and paying… and the balance barely moves.
- You pay the minimums every month, but the interest eats most of it.
- You have five balances and no idea which one to attack first.
- Every extra $50 disappears because there's no plan telling it where to go.
- "When will this be over?" doesn't have an answer. That's the worst part.
Debt isn't a character flaw. It's a math problem — and math problems have a finish line.
When every dollar has a place in line, the balances start falling faster than you'd believe. You don't need to earn more to start — you need a plan you can see.
The Snowball Countdown
Your total monthly debt budget never goes down. Here's what happens every month:
List
Enter each debt once: balance, APR and minimum payment.
Order
Choose snowball (smallest balance first) or avalanche (highest interest first). The planner compares both with your numbers.
Roll
Minimums on everything; every extra dollar goes to debt #1. When it's gone, its payment rolls into debt #2 — the snowball grows.
Count down
Your Payoff Plan shows what to pay each debt, every month, until your debt-free date.

Good questions
Snowball or avalanche — which is better?
Avalanche usually costs a bit less interest; snowball gives faster wins. The planner calculates both with your own debts, so you can choose the one you'll stick with.
What if I can't pay extra right now?
Start with 0 extra — the plan still rolls freed-up minimums into the next debt. Even small extras later move your date.
Does it handle 0% APR or medical bills?
Yes. Any balance with a minimum payment works, including 0% promos and payment plans.
Do I need Excel?
No — free Google Sheets works (on your phone too), as do Excel and Apple Numbers. Printables are included.
Is this financial advice?
No. It's an educational planning tool. Interest is estimated monthly from your APR, so your lender's statements may differ slightly.
Your debt-free date exists. Let's find it.
Ten minutes with your statements and you'll know the month — and the plan to get there.
